Refund Policy

Why we have these:

We understand that kids can change their minds or that life can make us change our plans from time to time so we do our best to be fair in our policies. We do ask you have a read through them so that we can avoid any misunderstandings later. We are a small business and we advertise heavily just prior to booking periods so once classes fill up we then stop our advertising. If your child decided to leave after the two week period then that means that we have kept that place for them but unfortunately for us it will remain empty. Like every business we have costs to cover, people and bills to pay so although we hate having to do this its necessary for our survival. We base our class sizes and minimum numbers to start classes on all of this so it can mean also that we may have to cancel a class that’s already started if someone drops out. So to protect ourselves and the hearts of kids starting a class and to keep our prices as reasonable as we can we do ask that everyone honours our policies to avoid any bad feeling later on.

Classes

It really helps us out when fees are paid prior to each 15 week term. There are two 15 week terms in our academic year. (September = end January and then end January – June). On initial booking 50% deposit may be paid to hold your child’s place in the Summer Months with the remainder due before classes start c.10th Sept please. Deposit period ends 31st Aug. From 1st Sept full term fees must be paid on enrolment for Term 1 and again for Term 2. This all makes office life much more enjoyable!
For all the reasons mentioned above class fees are Non-Refundable and Non-Transferable after attending two weeks of class. Students can “try out” by attending class for two weeks. If they feel this class is not suitable we can then transfer the fee to a different class or give a refund for the remainder of term less €15 Admin fee. If your child feels it’s not their thing then please do let us know asap.
If cancelling your child’s place during first 2 weeks then you must notify the office by email

We’re sorry but cancellations after this date fall outside of our refund policy because of all the reasons written above.
We’re sorry but our advertising strategy and budget depends on places we need to fill so therefore booking deposits paid in advance where a child does not take their place in Sept or Jan are nonrefundable. However under certain circumstances we can freeze the deposit until a time that you can come to one of our classes or events. As long as our goodwill is honoured we have no problem reaching compromises that work for you and us.
Class tuition fees do not include examination fees which are to be paid to the relevant examining board . Parents will be made aware when registering for a class if there will be additional exam fees. The Irish Board of Speech & Drama does not refund for exams unattended once your child has registered with them.
Konfident Kidz cannot accept pay as you go classes or issue any refunds for classes missed by students. We tried out instalment payments for a few years but unfortunately it wasn’t honoured by some people and we regretfully had to stop doing it.

Cancellation Policy

Konfident Kidz Ltd. reserves the right to cancel any classes or event that fail to meet our minimum enrolment requirement. In the event of such a cancellation, you will firstly be offered an alternative class place. If a suitable alternative class place is not available, you will be refunded for any remaining classes.

Camps

Camp deposit is €30 per child. This is refundable up to 10 days prior to camp start date less €6 admin charge. Full camp fee may also be paid when booking. This is refundable up to 10 days prior to camp start date less €10 admin fee. Refunds cannot be given after 10 days prior to camp start date unfortunately as we often close out booking at this stage.

Events

Ticket Sales for events are non-refundable. Konfident Kidz Ltd. reserves the right to cancel any events. In the event of such a cancellation, you will be offered a full refund.
